“You’re easy to talk to,” I said.

“You’re easy to talk to too. And because of you, I feel less lonely being in the city at night,” he responded.

“Really? I usually don’t hit it off with people,” I revealed.

“I felt connected to you from the beginning,” he said.

“How so?” I asked.

“I just felt something. Sometimes you don’t have to necessarily know someone to feel a connection. Maybe it’s kismet,” he said.

“Kismet? Does that mean fate?” I asked with an open mind and heart.

Part of me wondered if he had any romantic feelings toward me. Or maybe he was just philosophically romantic.

Although we were getting along beautifully and I liked him very much, I wasn’t looking for romance. Then again, if he was “interested” in me, I probably wouldn’t decline.
